About Me

After more than 20 years of teaching art in the New YorkCity school system, Vivian began her retirement with a "painting fellowship" to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY (summer of 2002).

Thereafter, Vivian became the first Artist-in-Residence at the Maxwell International School in BC, Canada from April 10-May 21, 2003. In collaboration with the head of dance department they won first place prize in Vancouver's Annual May Day Parade with her theme "Pathways to Peace!"

Vivian travels extensively, enjoying the beauty of nature in all it's vast variety. She records her inspirations through the eyes of her creativity, capturing the emotions, and moody seasons of her subjects. Through her creations she conveys more than the visual beauty, she expresses the essence of the scene stimulating all of the senses.
